1. Introduction

Welcome to Sessiq. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our online booking platform and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before making a booking. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our Service.

2. Definitions

  • "Activity Provider" refers to businesses offering leisure activities through our platform.
  • "Booking" refers to a confirmed reservation for an activity made through our Service.
  • "Customer" or "you" refers to individuals making bookings through our platform.
  • "Participant" refers to any individual attending a booked activity.
  • "Platform" refers to our website and related booking services.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Creating a Booking

To make a booking, you must provide accurate information including your contact details, the number of participants, and any required participant information. You are responsible for ensuring all information provided is correct.

3.2 Booking Confirmation

A booking is only confirmed once payment has been processed successfully and you receive a confirmation email. The booking confirmation will include essential details such as the activity date, time, location, and any specific instructions.

3.3 Booking Holds

When you select an activity slot, it may be held temporarily while you complete the booking process. Holds expire after a set period, after which the slot becomes available to other customers.

4. Payments

4.1 Payment Methods

We accept payments via credit/debit cards (processed through Stripe) and Finnish bank transfers (processed through Paytrail). All payments are securely processed through our payment partners.

4.2 Pricing

All prices are displayed inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Additional fees for optional add-ons or services will be clearly shown before you confirm your booking.

4.3 Currency

All transactions are processed in Euros (EUR). If your payment method uses a different currency, your bank may apply currency conversion fees.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

5.1 Customer Cancellations

Cancellation policies vary by Activity Provider and are displayed during the booking process. Common policies include:

  • Full refund: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the activity start time.
  • Partial refund: Cancellations made between 24-48 hours before the activity start time.
  • No refund: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the activity start time.

Please review the specific cancellation policy for your activity before booking.

5.2 Provider Cancellations

If an Activity Provider cancels your booking, you will receive a full refund. We will notify you as soon as possible and assist with rebooking if alternative times are available.

5.3 Refund Processing

Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days. Your bank may take additional time to reflect the refund in your account.

6. Participant Requirements

6.1 Age Restrictions

Some activities have minimum age requirements. These are displayed on the activity listing and must be observed. Adults accompanying minors are responsible for their supervision.

6.2 Health and Safety

Certain activities may require participants to meet health or physical requirements. By booking, you confirm that all participants are capable of safely participating in the chosen activity.

6.3 Waivers

Some activities require participants to sign liability waivers before participation. These may be completed online during booking or on-site before the activity.

7. User Accounts

7.1 Account Creation

You may create an account to manage your bookings, view booking history, and save preferences. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

7.2 Account Security

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized account access due to your failure to secure your credentials.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Sessiq or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

We provide the Platform as a booking service connecting customers with Activity Providers. While we strive to ensure accuracy, we are not liable for:

  • The quality or safety of activities provided by Activity Providers.
  • Injuries or damages occurring during activities (responsibility lies with the Activity Provider).
  • Technical issues beyond our reasonable control affecting the booking.
  • Loss of data or service interruptions except where caused by our negligence.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Finland, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or through notices on our Platform. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
